Mike Cimmarrusti

Co-Founder/CEO

Mike co-founded Realize to empower imaginations. He is responsible for the direction and strategy of our company. His main focuses for 2021 are retail partnerships and unearthing undiscovered awesome people to add to our team.

Rik Basu

Co-Founder/Head of Engineering

Rik leads the engineering team at Realize. He splits his time between rapid prototyping solutions for all levels of our stack and managing the mind-meld of our technologists.

Wes Cimmarrusti

Co-Founder/Chief Product Officer

Wes directs the product strategy at Realize. He manages the development schedule and all aspects of visual design at Realize. Wes is fueled by the desire to prove to Mike that he was at least the third best option to choose from as a co-founder between the Cimmarrusti brothers.

Isabel Senior

Head of Business Development

Isabel oversees all aspects Realize’s external operations. Customers know her as that stranger who DM’d them on Instagram and became their best pal. Retailers know her as an industry partner with a penchant for asking, “What can I do to make your job easier?”

Konstantin Ramenskii

Principal Engineer

Konstantin is the architect behind the many moving pieces of our technology stack. He ensures the long-term scalability and maintainability of our codebase. Konstantin loves passing along the nuggets of wisdom he has picked up from living on three different continents over the course of his life.

Varun Bachalli

Computer Vision Engineer

Varun heads up computer vision engineering and is also a proud holder of the title Best T-shirt Game at Realize. When he’s not wowing with his wardrobe, Varun is relentlessly resourceful in finding solutions that make our users say, “wow, that was easy!”

Senior Backend Engineer

We are at an inflection point where our database is growing exponentially, not just in size of the data being stored, but also in complexity of its architecture. We need a Senior Backend Engineer whose experience shows that he or she can optimize short-term fixes and long-term overhauls. Thinking about the future without futureproofing everything.  

Being the senior person in a specific domain comes with a ton of responsibility at Realize. Product decisions are made by the team in a way that leverages a combination of business and engineering expertise. Although our goal is first and foremost driven by the customer, we lean heavily on our engineers to chart that course. We need builders who can chart the course.  

Ideal profiles for this role  have experience architecting databases, automating file conversions, and have a knack for doing whatever it takes to build and maintain a solid backend foundation, even if that means pitching in on the Dev Ops side of things.

Senior Backend Engineer

Technical Artist

Photo-Realism is our goal. Creating, sourcing and implementing 3D models are core to our process, and are, amazingly enough, not someone’s full-time job at Realize.  This^ = High Priority. On our wish list for this role is 3D modeling ability, a desire to manage the sourcing of assets (experience is less important than a desire to do this well), and a basic understanding of either Unity or C#. Most critical though is that this role can work autonomously, aligned with our vision for the product.  

You would have a ton of freedom in this role, so our evaluation will be almost purely based on your history of stewarding freedom and responsibility. And we want to know ‘Why Realize?’ because there are a lot of other great companies out there! Though we aren’t looking for an engineer in this role, you may be at risk of being adopted by the engineering team as one of their own. Don’t be worried, they are generally nice, except on Friday Podcast Chats if they think the YouTube video/Medium article/Podcast that you suggested is cheesy. If that happens, good luck, you will be roasted.

Senior Computer Vision Engineer

C# Engineer

We have users asking us for the Realize app, and they want it yesterday. Our problem is that demand for functionality and scalability is outpacing our team. We’re looking for a rapid prototyper and a force magnifier. Someone who is just as excited to implement a solution as they are with thinking through the problem itself.  

C# is our melting pot. Everyone on the team writes in C#, so we all interface with one another as we sculpt different pieces of the software. Occasionally, our product manager has been known to dabble in the codebase and break everything, so good humor, experience with GitHub, and a desire to see peoples’ strengths, rather than their weaknesses, are core to imprinting who you are on our team’s DNA.

We hate requirements, but prior experience creating features and logic for 3-dimensional spatial interaction is necessary for this role.

Too many priorities, too few people to prioritize them. Many domains, with not enough domain-expertise. These are the problems we face. We’re hunting for another teammate as crazy as us. Someone who thrives in ambiguity, wants to become an expert in unfamiliar areas and who looks at joining us as an opportunity to invest in themselves.  

Our business team consists of 3 individuals with a collective zero years of startup experience. If you come bearing no startup experience, you’ll fit right in. If you come from a startup background, our hope is that it shapes not just how you work, but how you think – and we look forward to learning from you. Our team eschews “pride of ownership” of tasks and results. The goal is an ownership mentality, and that means prioritizing team results over individual credit.
